We wanted to give a name for 4 or 5 ideas we have been thinking about and applying on JotForm v3. One of them is "Your Homepage Should be The Application": http://atank.interlogy.com/blog/2007/03/your-homepage-should-be-the-application/ I'll be posting more details and the full list in the coming weeks. I await you next post with baited breath. Btw I agree with you - Web apps have one - you can now build very nice web apps that look, feel and peform like desktop apps.
